Performances

When I can manage my TBI symptoms, I find a fulfilling sense of purpose in being on a stage, which is WEIRD to me, because I’ve always been an introvert.

This performance of my bilingual poem “A Veces Me Pongo Brava / Home” will one day be known as my big break. Thanks, Macondo Writers Workshop, for helping me see what’s possible when the audience is magical.

You can fast forward the video above to 19m58s to watch a ten-minute performance of my story “Family Chisme.” Thanks, Texas Public Radio!

I also won first place with my poem, “The Whole Thing About Unblinking Intuition,” which starts at 42m42s. Thanks, Voices!
